Milk Chocolate chip Cookies

Ingredients

200g (7oz) unsalted butter, softened
200g (7oz) caster sugar
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
275g (9.5oz) self-raising flour
A pinch of salt
200g milk chocolate chunks
200g cocoa king milk chocolate spread

Method

1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F), and line baking trays with parchment paper.

2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and caster sugar until pale and fluffy.

3. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.

4. Sift the flour and salt into the mixture, then fold together until a dough forms. Be careful not to over-mix.

5. If using, fold in your optional add-ins like chocolate chips, nuts, or dried fruit.

6. Take spoonfuls of the dough and roll them into balls, then place them onto the prepared baking trays, leaving space between each cookie for spreading.

7. Flatten each ball slightly with the palm of your hand or a fork.

8. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the cookies are golden brown around the edges.

9. Remove from the oven and allow the cookies to cool on the baking trays for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

10. Top with our cocoa king milk chocolate spread to make these extra indulgent.
